Laser in Podiatry

Laser Therapy

Already used in other therapeutic areas, laser therapy has become a tool implemented in recent years in podiatry.

Laser therapy determines an improvement or a stimulation of the target tissue bringing the system back to a condition of homeostatic balance. Laser therapy in podiatry is used in the treatment of:

  • Warts (viral infection by papilloma virus, it determines a flaking of the structure and simultaneously a cauterization of the injured surface)
  • Onychomycosis (for photodynamic and thermal effect)
  • Muscle tendon pain (plantar fasciitis, heelitis, metatarsalgia, tendonitis of the Achilles …) bursitis or edema.
  • Biostimulating effect on lesions (vascular and diabetic ulcers, surgical or post traumatic lesions).
